As the title. Anyone know where I can get one?

Basically just on/off positions but with two sets of wiring being switched with it.

Cheers
Andy

I got one that sounds just like you are after from Mac#1. i didnt use Sierra stalks etc and removed the steering lock. Fitted a basic on - off ignition switch instead and immobiliser as the security device.

Cheers guys, been away for a couple of days hence no reply.

I'll check with Mac#1 but everything seems to be on/off but only for a single circuit. If push comes to shove I can use a switch plus key.

Andy,

You're wanting a dpst switch. Double PoleSingle Throw.

RS No. 316-838, 15A £3.91

Rubber cover, no.233-3936 £0.54

There's a few more in the catalogue, but the one above would be more than ample.

Syd.

Syd

It's a keyed ignition switch I'm after.

2 position, On/Off but I have four wires. In the On position 1 - 2 connect and 3 - 4 connect, so I need 4 terminals. Is that DPDT or DPST, can never figure it out. The ones I find only have two terminals.

Normal way to do this is to use a relay operated from the ignition switch.

Switching the ignition switch to on supplies the ignition and also energise the relay which switches the other circuit -- quite simple.

You didn't say you wanted a KEY!

In that case, you want RS no. 182-556 £3.27

I've used some big mothers of switches in boats. Switch a handful of circuits and more, at once. There's one that you can build up yourself, just by adding extra modules to the back, but I can't find the info at present.

The relay will do the job, but if you can do the job with a single switch, then that's one less thing to go wrong...and usually at the worst possible time.

Cheers,
Syd.
