Anybody used Sureseal connectors here with RS

I've never used them before and need to know how easy they are to use, in particular, how do you remove the pins when you got it wrong??!! Crimping etc no problem.

I'd seen those prices but didn't know if the tools were essential (I was hoping to use my existing crimping tool).

Oh well - Vehicle Wiring here I come!

I've tried to do sureseal without the tools and found it impossible.

The parts are so delicate that you wreck the pins etc. installing them.

A better bet are the soft rubber ones from Amphenol, in 2 to 6 pole, they do have tooling but I have used them a lot with a little wd40 and a thin scriber to push the pins home.

They are about twice the size of a sureseal, but a sureseal is quite small.

They are also available from RS in the automotive connector section.

I use a few bayonet lock plugs/sockets, usually use the solder terminals though, with a piece of heatshrink over each joint, then put the whole thing together.
