In a fibreglass car it is probably not neccessary to have a conventional aerial connected to the head unit. What are the alternatives?
what about a small bee-sting type aerial mounted under the scuttle/bonnet?
If your driving your car right, you wont be able to hear the radio !
and all that extra weight as well
I was wondering if an aerial needs a ground plane to work properly. If not I could put a length of wire into the glass fibre away from any chassis rails and connect to that.
Needs an earth. totest for a badly earth aerial touch it with your bare hands with the radio on, if the volume increases it has a bad earth
Hi
