Yep deffo the cam position sensor... but while we're at it anyone know what the little grey box is on that pic next to the coilpack with a two pin connection?? Some kind of suppression capacitor??

Yes it is the surpressor.

I wondered what that grey thing was too....

Do you need to fit it? Think i junked mine.

Hi Piddy,

As the others have said, it is the camshaft position sensor and is used for sequential injector triggerring. AFAIK most aftermarket ECU's dont bother with this, I know Megasquirt doesn't and so this connection can be ignored.
