do the lights require a relay or are the ford swiches ok for the job ?

i have a hand full of ford relays which one should i use ?

Graeme,

Side lights are fine switched through the Sierra stalks, but dip and main beam should be switched using a relay to protect the stalks.

There is a school of thought that say early Sierra stalks are OK switching the dip and main beam directly, but for peace of mind and reliability I would always use a relay myself.

It depends which Sierra switches you have. Very early ones switched the live side but the later ones switch the relay earths and will burn out if you run the live through them.
