Indicators

I have a slight problem with my indicators and hazards. They only work occasionaly, and when they do, they only come on and stay on. I've checked the switchand it seems to be ok. Could a dodgy flasher relay do this? They worked fine until the other day and then suddenly this happened.

Check all of your light connections. I got a dicky headlight from a bad rear indicator connections. Then check the earths.

Sometimes you get a problem from the steering column switches. This can be due to the over reliance of us to use it as a grab handle getting in and out. It pushes everything around and is easily cured by easing the wheel back up the column after you undo the middle big bolt.

I find mine go on, then off, then on, then off, then on, .............................. Sorry! Someone was going to do it!

It sounds to me like a dodgy earth to your relay nothing to do with the switch if it's the same both sides.

Sounds to me like the flasher relay is sticking. After all, they have a set of contact points in them, and even the slightest hint of moisture inside will cause them to stick. Try it first - it's the cheapest parts fix of the bunch

Exactly what mine was - a dodgy relay.

Sorted now!

Got mine sorted a few days ago. Wonky relay and a dodgy earth together.
