Is it posssible to use the Motorcraft Amplifier from an injection car (Pt No B3A095078) on a carburettor engine??

(Amplifier for carb eng has a different part number - 83BB12A199)??

Or do i need to get hold of one specific? cheers Matt

I'm just about to sell a complete electonic pinto distributor system if your interested ?

My set up was pinto 2 litre with 32/36 DGAV twin choke carb.

Completely reconditioned dizzy done about 1000 miles, coil and amplifier plus wires.

I've also another good working dizzy and new amplifier too, i am watching a set up on ebay to price it and i can take to the donington show saturday 16th if interested.

Injection cars use different ignition set up (Hall effect rather than inductive??). They need the ECU to work correctly. If you are running carbs you need the earlier electronic ignition set up. If i was you id buy Bobs set up.

Yeah i'm sorry about the price and normally i try and help price wise, but in this case i've seen a few set ups sell on ebay for betwwen 80 and 100 so i would be foolish to let it go for less.

Although i would sell the whole lot including the spare dizzy and spare new amp for £100 inclusive of postage in the UK to anyone on here.
