Need some help guys.
I am wiring in a acumen gear indicator light and a datatool rev lightto a blackbird engine,
after wiring them in to the correct wiring i am having problems with the tacho. when the revs get to around 9000rpm the tacho goes back to 0 rpm,
these 2 new items are obviously robbing the signal from the tacho so any one wired them in and had success,
it does advise you can wire into the coil low tension wire any ideas what this is?
or you can wire into crankshaft sensor any ideas also where to locate this?.
these are instead of direct feed from the back of the tacho i am only thinking this will help.
also to note if i disconnect one of the gadgets the revs clime higher to around 10000rpm before going to o rpm.
any advise greatfully received,
Sean

This is the 12v feed to the coils. The HT leads then go to the plugs. Can't help with the rest though.
thanks for that DIYsi

I have a haynes manual sean if you need one.
Ill have a look tomorrow night,
Andrew.
