hi all

i am goin to put a water temp warning light in the car as well as a guage. the engine is the 1.3 x-flow with the guage pick up already on (well i thing it is) and i will also need a separate thermostat switch for the fan can either of these be used for powering the light, if so any idea how as dont really want the light coming on all the time when fan comes on

thanks guys

Im wiring a light up through the fan switch relay so i know when the fans in as i cant here it above the engine. Its a bit complicated i think to have a high temp light wired some other way.

You can, I think, get a tee piece that screws into the block where the existing warning light senser goes. Then mount the gauge on one side, and the warning light senser on the other. HTH Ray.

I've used a T piece too, one arm for the gauge sender and one for the water temperature sensor. To wire the light, take a feed through the ignition switch to the light and the other connection from the light to the temperature sensor.
