running loom in the car?

hi all

is there any rules stating you can not run your wiring loom through the car it self?

im thinking of doing this but would make a box section for it to run through

can anybody see any problems?

cheers paul

Loom can be exposed anywhere as long as it is mechanically protected.
Either use split flexible plastic conduit or spiral wrap.
Box section is a bit OTT

Maintenance would be a real PITA when you need to run any new circuits that you forgot about ........ which is inevitable
I used heatshrink for any exposed bits of loom (engine bay, lights etc) and spiral wrap for the internal bits.
