wher would i put the signal wire from my etb rev counter ?
i'm running edis and megasquirt if anyone can help
lol bad smell, its curry that does it to me
anyway i did wonder if it would work like that, i'll drop a test wire in tomorrow
many thanks
I am using a transistor circuit out of the Megasquirt to give a signal with a 12v feed though a relay coil to give sufficient power. Without the 12v
feed the tacho did not work.
There are various options in the manual depending on what type of tacho you have
will give it a go in the morning

You "should" be able to get a RPM signal from either side of the (-) off the coil you might need a diode to stop the rev counter "back feeding" any odd signal that might upset your spark signal from the edis unit.
Expect "MikeRJ" to be along soon, looking for an argument about it though........ seeing as he is my bad fart smell just now, that just seems to follow me everywhere, I must get the wife to cut cabbage out of my diet....
Ok,
im having the same problems- trying to use an old porsche tacho,
its got terminals marked "+12", "1" and "-"
any ideas where to start? then ill try the wiring methods described in the other threads
thanks in advance as always!

As usual Mike you just proved me right, and showed everyone what a *ick you are, & that your slow on the up take.

And if you had actually taken time to READ the post fully, instead of jumping in with both feet thinking you had a juicy tit bit, either that or you conveniently "forgot" about the part of my post quoted below.

does your ETB gauge allow you to multiply/divide the input signal ? as that would help if your getting an odd reading after connection.

Funny also that you didn't reply to Ian/scoobylav in This thread (or did you "forget), after another vain attempt of yours at crap stirring as usual, time you crawled back under the rock you scuttled out of, if all you want to do is cause trouble instead of helping people, mind you usual double standards at work.

Back to the real problem if possible, Graeme, did you manage to get this working? If you did would you let me know what you did as I face the same
situation.
Thanks
