Hi all, I have just stripped my blackbird loom so I have all the wires are individually marked.

Will it be possible to complete remove items like the side stand switch, clutch switch/diode, neutral switch ect from the loom and still be ok for start up??

I have gone the other way. I have based all the electrics around the Blackbird loom and added things like hazard flashers, brake fuid level etc.

I guess you could remove the items you listed but I chose to keep them.

Neutral switch is used for neutral light (using bike instruments) and for the gear indicator. It is also used as an input so that you can't start in gear unless the clutch is in.

Clutch switch, I have also used with a microswitch on the clutch pedal so you can start in gear, but have to have the clutch pedal down.

I have taken the side stand switch to a terminal block as it is needed in conjunction with the service connector for getting at some of the ECU fault codes.

You could remove these items and fool the ECU into thinking everything is ok, but personally I think the functions are useful.

Just my opinion of course.

Cheers
