Rover 75/MG ZT engine wiring

Anyone got any books or diagrams for the above engine, im fitting one in my car and havent a clue. all i know is ive got the ecu and key fob as i was told the engine is matched to them. Its the 2.5 V6 jobie. could do with some help on the pipes on the engine too, coolent and breather.

I got a workshop manual CD off fleabay for a couple of quid. Had most of the wiring stuff on it.
Do a search for "Rover manual CD".

You will need the matching BMW EWS security ECU from the same vehicle as well.

To be honest I think you will have an up hill battle to get this engine to run with the original Siemens ECU, as the electronic installation on the 75 is particularly complex with the body control computer (BCU), Climate Control Computer and even the main light switch communicating with the Main ECU.

Unlike the Lucas or Motorola secuity systems used in the other Rover models as I understand it the BMW EWS system can't reprogrammed to match another engine ECU so using a secondhand EWS unit from another 75 won't work.

Avon diagnostics have done some work on Rover security systems in kit cars and may be able to help.

I would tend to agree --- only complication is the kv6 in the 2.5 version has variable geometry inlet manifold actuated by electric motors. It also came in the 75 with 2 cats and usptream and down stream lambda sensors.

Whats the position on SVA emisions on car engines where the donor was fitted with 2 cats ?
