Help!!!

I have managed to get hold of a speedo sender from a Vauxhall Nova which converts the rotary motion of the speedo cable to a pulse (i think)

Question.

There are 3 wires coming from it. I assume:-

A Live, an Earth & a Pulse.

Ready for the dumb question.

Does the pulse wire return a voltage? If so is it the same as the input voltage?

Hello Baron,

It depends on the type you have but most I have come across drop to 0v when detecting the edge of the target.
