4age injector wiring
stripe - 30/7/07 at 05:44 PM

evening all,

i have all my elctrics wired up at the moment with only the injectors left to wire into an omex loom.
on 2 injectors i have red and blue wires coming out the plug and the other two injectors have yellow and white.

Does anyone know which side is positive or negative? i know i will have to run a balast resistor to make them high impedance.

thanks james

If I remember correct they are run in pairs, they are fed a perminant live and switched to earth by the ECU. mmmmmm will pop to gargae and have a look.

Right had a look. Our 4age has differnt wire colours but as you look at the engine from the inlet side the right hand pin is the live.

Hey all,

here goes,

12v to ballast resistor is black-orange
from ballast resistor to #1 and #2 injectors is Red
from ballast resistor to #3 and #4 injectors is White or Blue

From injector #1 and #2 to ECU (ie Bank 1) is Green
From injector #3 and #4 to ECU (ie bank 2) is Yellow

I assume you have an Omex computer so in the omex loom (omex 500)
bank 1 is brown wire and Bank 2 is white wire.

Just for info, my 16v was wired up original to the factory ECU and had bank one with #1 and #2, and bank 2 with #3 and #4.
But looking at the piccies I realize that the 20v running on omex has bank 1 with #1 and #4 and bank 2 with #2 and #3

why that is I don't know but will try difference now I know this.

Grtz Thomas
