I am thinking of using these lamps:
not too bad price wise but bults cost 99 p!!!! Anyone know what sort of bulb they use and if maplins or VWP sel cheaper? (just about to resend
order).
I would like to do a LED conversion so if you have these lamps, how difficult would it be to either sodler in the LED (& resisitor) or make a
dummy lmap holder.
In the unlikely event you have a photo shjoing the internals and contact, then plrease post
I think they are the 1.2watt little capless one like dash bulbs but dont quote me..
An led conversion would be quite easy.

I ma getting them cause they llok nice nd are cheap - well relative to other lamps.
ther are sold by http://www.europaspares.com/
online shop -> lighting -> warning lamps 4th page.
22mm OD Warning Lamps, with Symbols
£ 3.75 +vat + £ 1 for the bulb.
I'm sure I can get the bulbs for less than that.
if you're gonna do an led conversion, silicone sealer would surely make an adequate dummy bulb holder. just pull it out if you ever need to
change anything?
would save you a pound a lamp!

I suggest that you look at Vehicle Wiring Products here -
about half-way down the page. Cheaper units, and much cheaper bulbs! They also show the bulb type and wattage. If they are the same, then Maplin
don't sell suitable Ba9s 2W bulbs - they only have 4W.
I remember now why I went for the Bright6 unit...

VWP look identical but don't have the nice picture on them.
At least I have found a chepaer source of bulbs should my LED conversion not work.
