Ok - weird one but hopefully easily answered...

I have bought 2 different sets of front indicators (wifey didn't like the first ones!) and they both have the same thread on the hollow mounting bolt. However the thread isn't a normal metric thread.... as they are both the same i'm guessing this some kind of standard?
I think the second set are from a Ducati?
anyone got a clue what it might be? - the one nut I have takes a 14mm spanner if that's any use!

think its m10 with a 1mm pitch, some one correct me if im wrong though

Mine are bike indicators, and are M10 Fine, i.e. 10mm x 1mm pitch, as above.

I think I got mine from a bike shop... I know I couldn't get them from any run-of-the-mill shop.

Standard M10 is 1.5mm M10 fine I reckon is 1.25mm.

Not sure if the nut is a regular nut - the ones on mine are slimmer and smaller.

cheers guys - will walk round to my local bike shop at lunchtime and see what they say....

Funnily enough I checked mine today - thread is M10 x 1.25 (Honda, Yamaha)

M10 x 1mm according to the Namrick catalogue - 16p each, if you need some! (+ a minimum charge + P&P + VAT, of course).

Now I am confused...

I'm now looking at a chart of standard M10 threads, which come in 3 pitches: 0.75, 1.00 and 1.50. The last one is M10 coarse, which is the sort you'd find in B&Q.

Then I looked in my Zeus tables (machinist's standard reference booklet) and it says 1.25!

Mumble mumble... I know I used 10mm x 1mm anyway... mumble mumble...

Mine were 10mm metric fine. 1mm thread pitch as tested with a thread file. HTH
