Hi, i'm this week busy with the wiring.
Took a week vacation for it.
My illumination of the Speedo and rev-meter won't work.
I'm using a standard fireblade 1999 type.
But is it a must have for the SVA ?
Thanks, Marco
I think so. Although i understand you can register your car as daytime only where i doubt you would need it but obviously you wouldn't be able to drive at night
Afraid so.
Have to come on with side lights if i remember right.
Hi,
What clocks are you using?
Steve
I'm using standard Fireblade model 1999 Clocks.
The Haynes manuel says the brown wire is the plus wire for illumination.
I did that and earthed it.
Yes --- been the law since about 1920 !
Could you double check that it's the brown wire?
I only have the rrT & rrV diagrams to go off, but mine's a different colour for illuminatin - like I say, I have a different year so you
could be perfectly right, but it's the first thing to check...

It doesn't have to be anything fancy. At my first SVA to illuminate my speedo I made up a little bracket that held a side-light bulb next to the face of the dial (obviously shielded so it didn't dazzle the driver). They said that it was sufficient.
Sometimes i feel myself so stupid.
I forgot to plug the big plug in the speedo.
Hmmmmmm, Oké
But thanks for the help.
Don't worry - we've all done something similar!!! LOL
