I have to attach the sidelight bulb (which is set in it's own little cone reflector) to the back of the sealed beam unit. It was originalyy attached with some sort of mastic-type stuff long powdered and gone.

Any suggestions as to what to use - will sikaflex type stuff (pu or silicone) withstand the heat? (I've no idea how hot the rear of seled beam lights get)

I used a hot glue gun to fix mine on, 3 years on the road and they are still on

sealed beam? as in 7 inch? as used on land rovers, mini etc?

bin them and fit halogens; trust me, they are sh&te; only advantage is you can wade in them nad they donl;t fill with water.mud. light output is patheic.

I have a piar of sealed beam units for free as that is what I did.

I'm only using them to get through the SVA as they have an E-mark

Actually round sealed beams particularly if they are the old Biritish/American pattern aren't that bad --- a lot better than euro pattern tungsten bulb head lights.

Glue gun worked fine

It's a tool that I've had for a while but never used - just kept in a draw
