bank injectors for megasquirt wiring,
omega0684 - 12/4/08 at 10:13 AM

hi all,

i am currently wiring up my injectors to my megasquirt unit but im a little confused, the wiring diagram says that there are four wires coming from the ecu, two of them are labelled up bank 1 injectors and the other two: bank 2 injectors. but the diagram does not say which cylinders are supposed to be connected to either bank 1 or bank 2.

im running megasquirt 1v3 on a pinto engine with r1 throttle bodies.

megasuirt wiring diagram

any help let me know.

cheers

alex

on my set up bank one goes to earth on injectors 1 and 2 and bank two goes to earth on injectors 3 and 4

hope that helps

is that for the pinto set up, or does it not matter, i have all the 12v wires linked so that they only need one 12v feed, is that ok, i would assume that the the fuel is sprayed from the injector when the earth is made on on the earth side

yupsz

for electronics its easyer(better performance) to switch ground then to switch positive....

thats the reason that it switches ground.

If you have bank fireing then the first 2 injectors of your fireingorder should be on BANK 1 and the other 2 on bank 2

Tks

It really doesn't matter as the injecton events are not synchronised with cylinder firing times any way. Some people do 1+2 and 3+4, I personally did 1+4 and 2+3 as I felt it made more mechanical sense! As I said though, it really makes no odds.

All 12v connected together is correct, the earths are switched by the MS.

You can select how many injection events you want per engine cycle, so they must be synchronous with valve events at least.
