depends what your using with them

old fashoined points, copper everytime (as long as you aint got a radio!!)
newer electronic systems can suffer with interference from the ignition when using copper

Carbon core is designed to suppress the noise.
In PPC mag an emerald ecu failed to opperate correctly due to copper cores causing electrical noise.

There is some very low loss cores made from a metal core but it is wound to supress noise. Magnacore?
I have cabon core cable plugs using an edis sustem, and the sparks are healthy enought, will have to see what its like on boost.

Thanks for the replies.

As I am using Megajolt I am getting a set of carbon leads made up by these guys. www.formulapowerleads.co.uk
Saw them at Stoneleigh and the looked very well made.
