Lots of questions from me recently and here’s another can anyone remember the age a car needs to be before it is required to have hazard lights, I'd rather not bother with them.

nothing to do with the SVA test, just an MOT.

My ex MOD Landy was made in 1975 and registered after release in 1980; MOT place wanted to fail it over the hazards which as we can see above does not apply; thiuer mistake but no harm done as I shoved the papaers under their noses

Now let's say it was registered in 1987 - how does the "used" bit apply in that situation?

I think that refers to like say a vintage car (a pre-war barn find for example) that had no registration documents but you could prove was 'used' previously before 1986 as I'm sure they're would be too many issues that it would be imposable to comply with modern regulations.

One car in the local Museum was literally dug out the ground after being burred for something like 30 years and is now used on the road!
