I was ready to start my Pinto for the first time last night but by the time I'd turned the engine over a few time to check everything it didn't have enough juice to start it.

I'm having another go tonight, but in the meantime I need to find out why my Sierra instruments didn't work either since I need the temp gauge as the rad fan isn't connected so I'll have to cut the engine when it starts to get hot.

Nothing on the instrument panel worked, battery light, brake light or anything!

I've plugged in the multiplug with the wires I need connected, but there is another black connector in the middle of the dash with two spade terminals on it - anyone know what this is for or think of any reason why the dash wouldn't be working?

How many pins has your cluster connector got? mine was out of a sapphire which only had 12 I think it was, let me find a piccy I did.....

mk 1 and mk 2 sierra speedo clusters have diffrent pin outs although the connectors are the same.
i bloo fuses tying to fit a mk1 speedo to mk2 car.
