TIM 30/30 Ammeter Wiring
greglogan - 21/5/08 at 09:28 PM

Hi guys

does anyone know how to wire up the TIM 30/30 amp gauge. I'm pretty sure it's not a case of breaking the main feed from the battery, so it must be some sort of shunt or something?

Any body have any ideas?

Thanks

Greg.

it goes in the charging ciruit, so i'm thinking somewhere near the alternator?

didn't it come with a little bit of paper giving instructions? or have you lost it like i did?

car ammeters are the work of satan!!

I bought two but in the end decided not to fit them.

why do you feel you need to have one?

they are TIM - if you want some spares, make me an offer, inc post and they are yours.

Fit a voltmeter -- sometimes called a battery condition meter instead much more useful safer and easier to wire. I would think 30-0-30 ammeter only really suitable for a car with dynamo.
