Speedo Sender problems
phoenix70 - 2/6/08 at 09:53 PM

Hi All,

Got problems with my speedo sender, so looking to change it. Currently my speedo is a ISSPro electronic speedo (Aircore version) and the sender is an ESSPro R8970 signal generator fitted to the speedo output on the type 9 gearbox, cause of lack of room I want to move to something mounted on the prop and have found This

But I'm not sure if this would be suitable. The paperwork for the speedo says it needs a minimum number of pulses when driven at 1000 turns per mile.

I'm lost please help me

Cheers

Scott

Hi Scott ,

I am useing the same make of speedo (R8470) as you and useing that sender (R8960) kit mounted on the prop tunnel side with two magnets fitted to the prop flange or the diff flange cant remember now , make sure that you you get as smaller gap as you can between magnets and sender pickup and all should be ok but keep an eye on it just incase they touch for the first few miles as i may need adjusting ,

Check out Isspro web site as you maybe able to get them cheaper direct , also they are good at replying if you have any problems .

Cheers

Mike
