We are currently looking for some small SVA compliant headlights. We like the ones supplied by GTS Tuning @ 108mm dia. They are E-marked but the description states that these headlights are not SVA proven. Before we jump in and buy them, exactly what does the SVA manual state. IIRC it only states that they should be e-marked, so why else would they fail SVA? (apart from obvious mounting position)
Surely if they are E-marked, they SHOULD pass SVA

as far as i am concerned if they are mounted correctly for hieight and distance from centre line of body etc etc the only other part that they could fail on is the E-marking of the glass.

I would inspect them for non conforming radii on the casing too before purchasing as i think the old style 2CV headlights with the metal clasp on the top that holds the lense in to the body woud fail on the sharp edges on the aforementioned clasp, even though the lense is E-marked.

We have bought the said lights as a bit of a gamble and to be honest they look like they are capable of passing SVA. A bit more information would be useful but they appear to be good quality - chroming quality is awesome.

I guess MR SVA man won't be looking at this however...
