ive borrowed a cement mixer with the wrong motor on it
its turning the wrong way is there any way to get the motor to spin in the opposite direction??
thanks folks
single phase..???
mhhh....
normally a single phase engine only uses 2 windings and a third which is only enabled on startup...
the 2nd winding uses an capacitor...tu generate an offset on the normal wave shape..
google is your friend i would say...
Tks
As you apply power, give it a helping hand in the right direction.
Alternatively try plugging it in to a neighbours supply. My old next door neighbour had a wood lathe that ran in opposite directions when plugged into
his/my supply. weird but true.

If you take the cover off the motor, where the wire goes in, there is usually a connections diagram to wire it for CW or CCW rotation.
