Hi All,
I've done a search and found out some info but not had all my questions answered so could people with experience of the above please give me some
pointers?
1. What Megasquirt model is needed for a Post '95 2 Ltr Zetec engine?
2. Is it available to buy as an off the shelf unit?
3. If not, is it difficult to build for someone with very limited circuit building experience?
4. Is it programmable for SVA fuelling and easy to tune afterwards (Is a RR Session essential for setup)?
5. How does it connect to the existing wiring loom?
The following are a couple of general bike carb upgrade questions!
6. Bogg brothers do a manifold building service - thats great, but can people give me feedback on them please - good and bad
7. Is there anyone else that offers the same service as Bogg Bro's?
8. Which set of Bike carbs would best match a 2Ltr Zetec engine?
9. Does anyone have a costing for everything all together for a Zetec/Bike Carb upgrade?
10. There's not actually a number ten, but couldn't possibly leave it at number nine!!!
Thanks in advance - It's not a subject I've ever had anything to do with before so all advice is very welcome!
Cheers,
Steve
Edited to add - right I now realise the (obvious!) difference between MegaJOLT and MegaSQUIRT!!!
So it's MegaJolt info that I'm after, along with the general Bike Carb info!

If you are using carbs then you don't actually need a fuel controller like Megasquirt. Megajolt will control the ignition just fine, and is a wee bit simpler to setup and install
bec guru going cec on us, surely not
Hi steve
My megajolt box was built by paulf, nice and neat and paul was a great help in setting up.
I've got fireblade carbs which were recomended by bogg bros for ease of use/fitment, carbs from an RRX 2000 blade (£50 IIRC) boggs made the
manifold £180 and checked and set the carbs up for plug and play for another £40.
Bogg Bros are the nuts!
I built a megajolt kit from Paulf in about 2 hours Steve - dead easy!! Something to do in front of the TV one evening. Only issue i had was my Sony
Ericcson phone software stopped me hooking up to the software via the USB lead so had to remove it but other than that no problems.
Megajolt kit around £50, EDIS bits totalled around £35, Wiring bits were £20ish including LEDs for a 5 stage shift light
Here are some answers on my experience...
2. yes
4. doesn't really affect fueling, thats down to the carbs
5. get the megajolt wiring diagram
6. i built my own for NOWT!
8. any big bike 40mmish will be OK. ZX9r on mine
9. Mine cost - megajolt £90, carbs £35 (ebay) Homemade manifold & airbox, free. CBS inline filter £40. Spare set of ZZR1100 carbs for spares £25
off the bay.
Steve
I still have a couple of complete megajolts available, was going to Ebay them but cant now as i refuse to sign up to paypal .
A built and tested unit is £75 and i can also supply the edis parts if required.
Paul.
