Sensor imput 6.25v, how does that work!

I have a lotue elise stack dash to wire in. i have the plug diagram which is self explanatory BUT one pin says

sensor supply (regulated +V) 6.25 volts.

how do i do that with a 12v supply :s

I would have thought it's an output to a sensor, not an input.

yupsz an supply is an output.. else you woud need allot more info..

its to connect some kind of sensor to..

that would make more sence

wonder which ones, could it be spedo or there is a cat overheating warning sensor on the elise.

you have to supply more detials than that.

twat sensor is it by the way?

for example a hall effect sensor, as used for speedo, would have a voltage supply around the voltage you state.

thats what i thought! i just have a print out of what pin goes to what and this is one or them. ill findd the pin list and post that up

Probably the throttle position sensor.
