This must have cropped up before but.. I am looking for a cheap source for small matt black headlights, any suggestions.

Merry Christmas

The favourites are the tractor ones in black plastic, available at shows for £30 a pair.

yours, Pete.

Bob

I guess they are 5.3/4" units; do they come complete with the light units; whats the mounting arrangement like, no nasty edges to fail SVA.

bob - 29/12/03 at 10:16 PM

There is a big bolt on the stem of the light body,it can easily be covered or make the bracket you bolt them too hide the nut.

some come with wiring and halogens and some dont, best ask before you buy.

I know premier wiring products had a load of them that sold real fast at the shows this year, and were £25 a pair.

Has anybody been through SVA with the Premier Wiring cheap headlights ?

bob - 30/12/03 at 05:05 PM

Yep conrodkid went through last year at yeading with the black plastic headlights, didnt seem to be a problem and i've seen a few 7's with them on this year.

theconrodkid - 30/12/03 at 06:27 PM

if they are good enough for romanian tractors, they are good enough for me!

Thanks Bob, see if Premier have any tomorrow.

Mine passed with them fitted 3 years ago. They dip to the wrong side but you only have to turn the lens a bit off vertical to fix it. They forgot to tell me that when I bought them but I rang them up and they were very helpful.

yours, Pete.

Are they just dipped and main beam or do they include sidelights?
