spitfire tank to smiths gauges
Chris Leonard - 5/1/04 at 11:31 AM

I have a spitfire tank and sender and Smiths gauges from a Dolomite. The tank is full but the gauge is only reading 1/4.

I used the ford voltage regulator and suspect that this is the problem. Can anyone confirm this and if so where can I get a Triumph one from. Out of interest what are the voltage differences.

Don't know about the Ford one, but the triumph one is 9v and you can buy them new from Lucas auto centres(try the yellow pages) and they are a common autojumble item.

Out of interest, what was the voltage of the Ford Voltage stabiliser?
