quite like the minimalist look, but don't seem to be e marked. they do have e marked ones for £22 a pair, but i don't like the
housing's they're in
I doubt Mr SVA man would like it.... I'd fit some bog standard ones in such a way that you can fit those afterwards....
Lights do not have to be e-marked so I don't see a problem. Reverse lights are not even a tested item so definitely no problem there.
Lights don't *have* to be e-marked but if they are not e-marked they have to be deemed "equivalent" by the tester. In my experience they dislike anything that isn't E-marked (cos they failed my fog light which was brighter than the E-marked one I replaced it with and they were happy with).....
both very good points.
replace after it is then. except the reverse light maybe. perhaps i'll just not have one to start with.
cheers guys!
With a non e-marked fog lamp the tester has to make a judgement as to whether it has a brightness of at least 150 candelas (not easy, so he's
probably going to err on the side of caution).
With side lamps brightness is not an issue so I wouldn't have thought they would have any reason for complaint (unless they are excessively
bright and liable to dazzle).
