Hi, thinking of swapping my tin top for a van, so I can kart my bikes etc rou d more easily, but is van insurance on a small citreon dispatch or similar more expensive than a car?

Don't need any type of business cover.

Just swapped from a wrecked Meriva to a Combo van, insurance is about the same for business as social, domestic & commuting on the Meriva. Dont use Evan though they dont reply to emails and to ring them is £1 a minute.
Road Tax is higher the combo has a 1250 diesel which suprisingly goes like stink but costs £180 a year to tax.
