BTS over the weekend with two Sylva cars, both Phoenix. Dave Edmunds was there with his MkIV Clubman Cossie engined beast with 650BHP, drag slicks
and 109 octane race fuel and my little old thing.
Dave did a best time of 11.1 secs and I had to make do with 9th overall on a 11.37. Great fun as always....line locker to do the burn out correctly
and slicks for next year.
Mark Chandler was there in his DB7, there was an Exocet, a few Caterhams, a very fast Westfield, Dax Rush, Tiger Avon and a Locost.

Looks great, I always wanted to go to this but something gets in my way every year
First weekend in September next year....be there.
Heavy 21 year old DB7 managed 13.93 in practice that placed me third in the handicap, spun the wheels in my timed run which put me back to 7th.
Qrtr mile is hard on my car due to gearing both runs had the same terminal speed of 106.52 as I do the last 50' bouncing on the Rev limit, maybe
I need to up it a tad for next year.
Cracking day never the less and faster than a couple of caterham's !

its amazing when you look at the 64ft times. there are two Porsche's there in the single seater leagues, which i guess is achieved with launch
control and pdk transmissions. have you got launch control jeff? i reckon if you can get your 64ft time down you will move up the ranks.

The 4WD 991 Turbo S times where very impressive. Joe Eagle in his 650S less so, although he had issues last year in his Aventador & Hurrican
(!).
My 64ft times are the result of cold Avon ZZRs on 7" rims, warm A15 slicks would drop that down from 2.3-2.4 to around 2.1. So, as I said, line
lock for the burn out and either A92 or A15 big slicks on 10" rims.
Some of those other cars were out to win, those hosier drag tyres must put incredible strain upon the mechanics.
