Hazard/Indicator fault

Morning all.
A quick question for you all. Recently when indicating my hazard switch has started to light up as well. It didn't used to do this, but since I'm not really sure how the things wired in, I'm not really sure what's causing it. Could it be linked to another problem I have, which is that I can hear the flasher relay clicking away quite quickly? The lights don't flash unless I want them to, it just makes that odd flickering noise that failing relays tend to make. So is there a list of things that I should check first before I pull the dash apart?

Well, having been for a run out earlier, the car seems to be behaving fine now. No funny noises and nothing lighting up unexpectedly. So god only knows what it was, but it appears to have fixed itself!
