koso help

hi all, i was trying to fit my koso dash today, but i am stugling with the rev counter and water temputure, to get the rev counter to even read, i had to wrap the wire around a ht lead, beacuse off the coil does not work. but when i set the dash to 4cycle and 4piston it does not read any where near, i have to put it down to 1piston, to get it to read.

so any one else had this promblem and what can i do about it?

as well how does the water temp sensor work?

thanks

stuart

Is it an RX1N? If so then welcome to the world of hurt. Few people have managed to get these to read correctly. I have mine picking up of the crank signal and the closest I can get to accurate is setting it to 12 cylinder.

As for the temperature gauge, it should just plug in. I had no problems with mine. What troubles are you having?

When you say 8 and 8, and 1 and 3 obviously you go 8 cyl and 3 cyl respectively, did you select 2 stroke or 4 stroke?

Sorry, I put 1 not 2! So I meant 2 stroke, 3 cylinder. I just played around with all of the settings until I found one that worked. Lucky for me I can plug the bike ECU into my laptop and get the reading direct from the ECU to compare!
