Kawasaki Wiring
I'm currently trying to wire up a ZX6R 2001 carb model for use in a grasstrack car and I'm struggling to get a spark, I'm assuming
the problem lies with the override switches ie sidestand and starter override switch.
Looking at it logically I can't see it being terribly different to a ZX9R and plenty of those will have been wired for car use on here....so how
did you all deal with these problems etc, is there something I need to do to eliminate them or bypass them??
Thanks in advance for any advice

Have you put a resistor in the feed to the ecu, if its the same as the 9 you will need one.
100ohm on the grey wire IIRC.

No I haven't...excuse my stupidity but what purpose does this serve? The live feed for the ecu is definitely grey so could be similar, cheers

It was a security feature to stop hot wiring as far as I know.
Cheers

I just did the following
1 sidestand switch, just connect two wires together
2 clutch switch ditto
3 tilt switch, mount with arrow pointing up
4 ign switch as per normal
5 run switch use a latching on and off.
Does it have an immobiliser fitted?
