Fizzing battery
Are batteries supposed to bubble and fizz while charging.

I've never noticed mine on a optimate trickle charger make any noise... is it a trickle or full charger?

There is gas (and heat) released as the battery is charged, however if its "fizzing" then the charge rate is probably too high.

They fizz if they have been drained a bit if left idle for a while but once charged back up the fizzing should practically stop.
Put a volt meter across the terminals and rev the engine, the reading should never get above about 14v if it does then the regulator has failed and
needs replaced asap.
Continual over charging will boil and evaporate the electrolyte then destroy the battery.

Cheers fellas.
I think mine has had it, it's struggling to charge and when i try to start the engine all i get is the relay clicking like mad.
