Megajolt difference
What is the difference between V3 and V4 and any real advantage either way?

Loads of new features, USB not the old RS232.
But V3 is good so pays your money etc.

V3 uses 'ordinary' component, e.g. resistors with wires, and V4 uses surface-mount devices. If you're making a kit then
surface-mount is more of a challenge.
V4 is more modular, and you can add things like a hard rev limiter very easily.
Both do their job well - apart from that, AutosportLabs only sell V4 now.

Its not usb just a RJ 11 plug instead of a 9 pin serial lead although still needs a serial port or USB adaptor at the PC end.
Im just about to build one for someone, have built lots of the V3s but this one looks a bit more fiddly.
Operation wise they all do the same basic job and most of the newer features can be added to an older version.
