Durite Hazard Switch Problem

Looking at an issue with my indicator wiring today.. The Durite schematic shows that 2B is linked to pin 10 which is the illuminator. This means that the illuminator is an unswitched load on the Relay and so the illuminator flashes without the switch being operated. I can re-wire to overcome this but has anyone else had this problem? I had the ground connected to pin 10 in error and blew a fuse but it would seem that I have damaged the LED relay because the indicators no longer flash....

Any info would be good...

thanks

I used a simple ON-OFF rocker switch and then put diodes so nothing else would feed back onto the circuit. Did this for all the other circuits too. No problems, and you can use the same light for several things if you want. You can get toggles that look the same as the Durite ones.

I did this because finding the correct Lucas clone switches was too difficult and expensive.

We have a schematic for the hazard lights using a durite switch on our website.

Try this
