What does Damien at Daytuner recommend? That's probably your best starting point...

i have spoken to marc nordon and he said he likes mbe as they are nice and simple to install and have lots of features, i like the emerald which has a dash mounted programmable screen to alter maps at push of button.

I love MoTeC stuff but it tend to be a bit overkill for anything but serious competition.

i like the price of Magasquirt, but dont feel i have the time, knowledge or desire to set it up, ok if it runs straight out of the box but if not i would be stumped. so im looking at a Emerald ECU at £650 ish as its only 10miles down the road, its about £300 more to have them map it on RR.

if you have a basic set up eg zetec and willing to learn there is plenty of info about on megasquirt and can be a good saving and experiance knowing you have done it,

When I installed my Emerald ECU I managed to get it up and running with no drama's . It's easy to set the mixture using a narrow band Lambda sensor and the on screen graphics . Ignition is a bit more involved but Dave Walker is very helpful and knows his onions and will install a base map if you let him know what engine / injection set up you are running. Managed to get the mixture set up very close but I found it easier to have a passenger operate the laptop
