ignition light

since my coil moment i have no ignition light...

there is one white wire 12v ignition feed and one brown and yellow wire which goes to the alternator...

the bulb is ok and when i earth the brown and yellow wire the bulb illuminates....is there any way i can check the alternator is ok or repair it?
