Racetech sender resistance range

Googled to death and can't find the info I need.

I want to try and use the sierra sender I have but it currently reads half full when empty, so need to work out what resistors I need to put in.

My sender is currently reading empty 140.6 ohms to full 23.4 ohms which I know seems a bit weird but I've double checked them! I think a 175ohm 3w will do but just want to confirm this against what it should be. I'll be happy if I can get it to read empty when empty!

Cheers

Rich

You need to know two readings for a set resistance, or do you know the correct range of resistance required?

I'm working on the basis that most senders are either empty 260 ohms to full 20 ohms or empty 130 ohms to full 10 ohms, hence why I want the Racetech sender confirming that its not anything weird.

Got a 180ohm 3w from maplins 40p and seems close enough.

Cheers
