ca18det speedo sensor

Does anyone know where this is on the transmission, and how to hook it up to a VDO gauge? I have done a lot of searching, and can't find the diagram in my service manual. Thank you!

dont know if its the same but on sr20det box its on drivers side(right in uk!)about 6 inches behind the clutchfork.no idea about the wiring, mind still heads back into the ecu

Ps have you tried the forum on sxoc.com ?they helped with no end of nissan problems with me,far more maxpower bull flying about, but some very knowledgable nissan electric buffs on there once you sift out the chav dreamers!

Got it thanks! It is actually underneath the transmission. There is sensor towards the front, on the side, and another right beside the shifter (I think that one's for the reverse light - there's kind of a spring on it, after taking it out and inspecting it.) The wires are earth and another, that both go into the speedo itself. The speedo now works.

The long term plan is to go with an all in one system, and get rid of what must be 10 kilos of wiring!
