Type 9 & Acewell?
Normal service resumed...
Sure I've asked this before but no luck in the search function.
Q? Is it possoble to use the Ford electronic output sensor to drive the speedo function of the Ace?
Currently it has a hall effect sensor so has a feed return thing.
If I wire the yelow signal wire of the oem sensor into the input of the Ace will it work, or will I bugger the ACE?
Sensor (off a fwd gearbox) is attached to the type 9. Tunnel is coming off this morning to investigate my current 0mph reading at all speeds

Depends which Acewell you've got.
Only the 4xxx series (only just released) & the 3251 have a fast enough processor to deal with the signal from a hall sensor. For them to work the
signal needs to be square wave & at least 2.7V.
All of the older Acewells (& most other digidashes - even expensive ones) only work with their supplied sensor, in the case of Acewell, reed
switch & magnet.

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.
