Alternator wiring help

this is my new alternator, my old one have a lucas clip on it so it was simply a plug it in job, but on the new one im not so sure. i have 3 wires to connect, a fat brown wire, a thin brown wire and a thin brown wire with a yellow stripe on it. So what goes where on the new alternator?

im pretty sure that the fat brown wire goes to the round screw terminal but what about the thin brown & thin brown with yellow stripe? which way do they go around on the T shaped terminal?

any help appreciated

Alex

I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

Connections look the same as a small alternator I fitted to my car. Here is a link to the wiring diagram for it. I don't think that it wasn't the same as for the Pinto engine.

I agree with Alex, looks similar to a Denso unit. Thin brown and yellow goes to 'L' as I believe that's the wire for the ignition warning light, thin brown to the other soade connector and Fat brown to stud.

Someone will be along soon to completely prove me wrong as electrics aren't my strong point but that's how mine is wored in and works okay.

Please double check first though

Cheers
Nigel
