can you help with R1 wiring in a locost

hi guys my car is at a stage now where i cant do anything else untill its wired up ...

the only problem is im useless with electrics does anyone fancy lending a few hours to earn a few £££

the engine is an early R1 4XV carb lump

any help would be much appreciated i live near notts / newark

i have spoken to a few companies about doing it but dont want to have it gone again lol

would much rather get my hands dirty !!!!

Where abouts in the uk are you ?
Doh ! read the full post, i'm too far away

They are not that hard to do, it's possible just to extend the r1 loom and interface to the ford switch gear.

Are you using the R1 Clocks? If you are not and want to splice into a standard kit-car loom then I can tell you what to do (once I've stared at the diagram for a while!) If you want to use the clocks and relay box I'm less help.

I have a digi dash for it and savage switches no stalks at all just switches

Eddie talked about using a seperate loom he can make me to do the lights it will be just engine side if things that will need doing .


I'm willing to pay if anyone fancies a few beers and some pizza lol

I'm up to my eyes at the moment, but can tell you / Ed what to do - you only need about 5-5 wires from the ECU!

Chris did my wiring for me - did a fine job of it (though the quality of the connectors wasn't what I was planning to use for the rest of the car).
