Immobiliser Wiring

Right, I've got one of those excel immobilisers off ebay, and the manual confuses me a bit.

quote:

The Blue loop should be used to isolate the vehicles starter motor. The white loop should be used to isolate the circuit which is switched (not permanent) live such as the ignition coil, fuel pump or engine management system.

Seems to me that the blue should probably be connected to the starter solenoid, correct?

Also, there's a link for a door pin switch, I assume that just needs to go to earth?

Cheers!

Manual here (pdf)

It would indeed make sense if the blue loop cut went into the wiring circuit going to the starter solenoid. You'ld imagine the door switch would be switched earth but as in the car it's used to switch the light on when you open the door (ie it's N/C when the door is closed) if you earth the wire the immobiliser will think the doors open IE leave it disconnected.
