Anyone close to Chorley to help with wiring fault on bec

Running out of skill and ideas and could really do with some help.

Anyone near who knows there stuff more than me (which wouldnt be hard haha) who could spend a little time to mentor and help. I'm happy to pay big beer tokens and the best coffee on our road.

See other thread HERE

Something shorted somewhere and got the odd wires behind the dash showing signs of melting but just getting lost trying to trace where it all goes back too. I'm now pretty sure its not on the engine side of things. followed the route of melted spots, disconnected and tested and it goes into the loom and who knows where after that.

I feel for you mate. Bloody electrics on the ZX9 boggled me. Far easier when I tried them on a Blade.

To be fair I don't think its to do with the engine as much as my method of wiring the dash and instruments/switches.

I should be up in Standish this weekend to see the olds - not sure if i'll be able to get away (g/f and dog in tow so its a bit much abandoning them but i'll see what i can organise - may be a 8am for an hour type thing).

Not sure i'll be able to help but i'll tell you to start at the beginning and we'll test every wire for continuity and strip everything not needed to run the engine - then add bits back in.
