westy wiring help??

hey, iv just aquired an 1989 westfield 1600 crossflow, having a few issues with the wiring and wondered if any of you guys could help...

first of all i noticed the back lights dont work at all...

secondly when i put the side lights on the fuel gauge goes up to full...

and thirdly when i select either indicator the side lights come on!

i have checked all the earths i think and no problems there... maybe a crossed wire down the line??

i believe the engine and loom are from a mk2 escort so would appreciate if anyone could send me some wiring diagrams?

thanks in advance

Roy

Hi, firstly all earths will be brown.
then you need a multi meter to check things.
clean the fuses and holders especially if its the original mk2 fusebox with ceramic style fuses.
